Bob Weir (Robert Hall Weir) - guitar, vox Bobby Cochran (Robert Gene Cochran Jr.) - guitar, vox Dave Garland (David Benton Garland) - keys, tenor saxophone, vox Alphonso Johnson (Alphonso Antonio Johnson) - bass, vox Billy Cobham (William Emanuel Cobham Jr.) - drums, percussion original Notes: --This is from the FM cassette I got from Tim S. way back in time. --It sounds different from the Version 1 FM Rodgers source (id 126156) & is not the same. --They are both FMs, but have different qualities to them. --The announcer parts, the between song banter & the band intros, "Book Of Rules" & the "Satisfaction" tease are NOT included as they were not on the tape (this source). --Some silent gaps (a left over result of the tape > CDR transfer & bad tracking) were removed in Wav Editor. --"Drums" was faded out to avoid an abrupt cut. --Ten tracks, 11 songs including the "Drums." vg NOTES (2024-02-28): --only the very beginning of "Poison Ivy" is clipped & it starts well before the 1st verse --even though "Book Of Rules" is missing & it segues into it, "Man Smart, Woman Smarter" starts at the very 1st note of the tune --this was a WLIR broadcast, 92.7 FM --tickets for this show were $8 (w/ a Hofstra University ID) & $12 (for the general public) --this venue no longer exists...it opened on June 21, 1949 as "Calderone Theatre" & eventually was renamed the "Calderone Concert Hall" (certainly by 1975)...in the 1990s it was converted into a 7-screen multiplex cinema, but that enterprise didn't last long & after closing it became Faith Baptist Church. --https://jerrygarciasbrokendownpalaces.blogspot.com/2011/09/calderone-music-hall-145-n-franklin-st.html --the Late Show (11:30pm) was not broadcast, but here is what they played: Young Blood Little Red Rooster Far Away Supplication Salt Lake City Bombs Away I Found Love This Time Forever > Shade Of Grey Heaven Help the Fool > Drums > Josephine > Around & Around Encore: Too Many Losers

Bob Weir (Robert Hall Weir) - guitar, vox Bobby Cochran (Robert Gene Cochran Jr.) - guitar, vox Dave Garland (David Benton Garland) - keys, tenor saxophone, vox Alphonso Johnson (Alphonso Antonio Johnson) - bass, vox Billy Cobham (William Emanuel Cobham Jr.) - drums, percussion original Notes: --I got this CDR in a B n P trade back in 2005 or 2006 from Terry Rodgers. --I have no other information other than it's the FM broadcast & seems to be the complete concert. --I started out trying to do this using the FM cassette > CDR transfer I did in 2004 from a tape I got from my old friend Tim S. When I went to do that, I discovered I either didn't finish doing the tape > CD transfer OR the tape/show wasn't complete because all there was on the CD stopped after or during "Man Smart, Woman Smarter." That's all there was. --I checked the CD Terry had sent me & it was the complete show as far as I can tell. There may be one song missing, I'm not sure. More research is needed to determine that so I went with what I do know & have. Tim's FM tape was slightly better quality, but since I never finished that one, or it cuts, I went with the complete show from Terry. The quality is still real nice so that isn't an issue. --I may do Tim's source yet even though it's incomplete. If combined, they would make a fine fileset. --Terry's source (this one) includes all the between song banter & band introductions which were missing on Tim's tape. --For general reference reasons, I am calling this one, Version 1 FM Rodgers. --Seeded in Nov. 2013. vg NOTES (2024-02-28): --this was a WLIR broadcast, 92.7 FM --tickets for this show were $8 (w/ a Hofstra University ID) & $12 (for the general public) --this venue no longer exists...it opened on June 21, 1949 as "Calderone Theatre" & eventually was renamed the "Calderone Concert Hall" (certainly by 1975)...in the 1990s it was converted into a 7-screen multiplex cinema, but that enterprise didn't last long & after closing it became Faith Baptist Church.
