Time was spent breaking down some tunes, or learning the lick. Sit In F is a hoot - for all those times Larry asked "What key is this in?". And so Player became PlayeE, or GLight Up Above, etc. It didn't help :) I also had a database of songs with title, key, author, copyright status and disposition if ours, dates recorded, and song type (blues, gospel, kids). Something you will notice, as in other sessions, is how Charles will repeat a song (Shadow of Your Smile) but change the inflection and character of the voice each time. After all, he did get his bachelor's in music at FSU with principle in voice. Track 5 God Bless The Child - Charles explains how he rebuilt the song when he first learned it off a cheap tape player but couldn't make out all the parts.
