Taper Notes:
View NotesFirst time playing with Michael Morgan on bass. Michael adds a great funky vibe to the band. You've never heard Dog Gone like this before! And, as in the past, Hiroo Nakano's drumming is nuanced, classy, and right on target. This was a packed house (as much for the art on display as for the music) and that lead to a slightly noisy audience recording of the first set. However, before the second set began, mics were moved and readjusted resulting in a truly beautiful recording of set 2. This was an evening full of new sounds (from both sides of the stage), as well as some musical flubs that, more often than not, lead the band down exciting, unexplored territory. Never a dull moment! NOTE: This gig was also videotaped.
