View NotesHum's last stop on their Fall comeback tour with Failure. The night felt very special, and both the crowd and band seemed to feel it. The energy was high, and the people seemed to have come out to see Hum, despite Failure's headline position. As far as the music goes, Hum is second to none. Blasting the first two tracks off "You'd Prefer An Astronaut" as the first two tracks of the night, it felt like we were still awaiting the new millennium, if just for an hour. The band played their unreleased number, the infamous "Inklings," but curiously, the arrangement was different. Perhaps the addition and subtractions on the track point towards plans to release the song, and a new record in the future. We can only hope, but it would be odd for the band to tweak a song after all these years if they weren't planning to do something with it. Overall, the atmosphere screamed for Hum to play all night long, but alas, it was but an hour of space travel. "This is fuckin' fun..." Matt Talbott quipped. It was Matt, it sure was. Thanks for coming to Florida. Come back soon, with or without a new record. Either way, we'll welcome you guys back with open arms.
