It's the first ever Jed wake and bake at Darkstar in Secondlife! This is an early show from a period when Jed was just starting to introduce stuff other than Grateful Dead into his live act - and this show in fact has no Grateful Dead songs at all. Instead, Jed entertains the morning crowd with a mix of classic rock covers and for the first time in Secondlife, his original music. It's one long set, and it kicks off in style with some Led Zeppelin, featuring a pair of Zep covers "Hey Hey What Can I Do" and a rockin version of "Tangerine." After going from Zep to the Beatles with "Rocky Racoon," Jed plays his first original song in Secondlife. It's a bouncy tune called "Nothing's Ever Free" which dates back to about 1995 or so, and it's a great debut. Jed falls back on familiar ground with "Farmhouse" from Phish next, and another couple of classic covers, Paul Simon's "Me And Julio," and Stevie Nick's "Landslide." But he doesn't stay there long, as he plays two more original songs, these ones from the GuRGLe era, "Old Man Miller" and "The Freeze." Another Beatles tune and one more original close out the set and an energetic "Rocky Top" encore rounds out a fun show. Enjoy!
