View NotesA last minute venue change in Secondlife had JLB going from one beach to another, but here they are at Alligator Beach with another jam-filled show full of JLB favorites and a few choice covers.

Coming off a jammy show a week earlier at The Blarney Stone, the boys are obviously eager to get back at it, opening with a lengthy, jammed-out version of Mark Gutenplan's song "Englishtown" about the famous Grateful Dead show in New Jersey in 1977. The improvisation segues into Jed's driving spiritual tune "Listen To The Angels." The band rolls out a 'good oldie' next, with the riverboat story of "Queen Lucille," followed by a dedication of "Brother Love" to those states that legalized marijuana this year. It's not typically a jam tune, but they take it further here before making a hard turn into the first cover of the night, Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower," to close the set.

Second set opens with "Far Gone Blues," followed by the next cover of the night, Phish's "Sand." It's a decent twelve minute version that drifts into Jed's uplifting ballad "Celebrate Instead." The middle-eastern inspired instrumental "Valley Of The Saints" is up next and it gets a good treatment here with a riffy jam, punctuated nicely on the drums by Pete Martine. As a follow-up to last week's election day show, Kenny Kaufman leads JLB through the set closer, the Grateful Dead's "U.S. Blues." 

The band goes deep for the encore with a bustout off Jed's first solo album "All At Once." It's a bouncy and fun ending to a great JLB show with a tight setlist, some  killer jams and as usual those positive JLB vibes. Enjoy!
