*** Save the Dave Benefit *** Fayetteville hosted the second SAVE THE DAVE BENEFIT on Sat. March 4th at George's Majestic Lounge on Dickson Street. Dave Gesualdo, bassist with Northwest Arkansas-based touring band, Mountain of Venus, who currently resides in Tampa, Florida, where he is recovering from chemotherapy and radiation treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Special musical guests, donated their time and flying/driving to the Ozarks from across the country, are expected to play for Save The Dave. On Sat. Mar. 4th a variety of national and regional musicians came together in a benefit for Dave. Steve Kimock, the renowned guitarist and favorite in Fayetteville, returned to George's for another unprecedented jam session. Joining Steve was his long time friend and often musical side kick, San Francisco's Martin (Mar-teen) Fierro on saxophone. Tulsa guitarist Steve Pryor joined the jam. The line-up to help save Dave was as follows: Steve Kimock – guitar, kalimba, vocals Steve Pryor – guitar, vocals Martin Fierro –sax, vocals Dylan Layton – guitar Stingray – drums Casey Van Beek – bass Scott Mariner - drums Tanya Shylock - vocals note: d2t05 and d2t06 from different source
