This is a John Roderick solo set opening for Nada Surf, who performed "The Weight is a Gift" and a bunch of other songs in a special performance. He performs Long Winters songs throughout, so it seems accurate to call it a "Long Winters" recording. Nada Surf joins John as his backing band on "The Commander Thinks Aloud." Gain on soundboard feed increases noticeably after first song. Otherwise pretty darn pristine! This recording was recorded and produced for, and is hosted at, www.nyctaper.com, where you can download the FLAC and MP3 files and access pictures and a review of the show.
