View NotesHere's one from the Jed Luckless 2020 Euro Tour which featured shows at European based venues in Secondlife. This show is from June 3, 2020 at a venue called AdMiRe in the Netherlands. It's a favorite venue on Jed's Europe Tours, and the virtual church like building is fashioned after the real life venue that hosts many SL jams in person in the Netherlands.
Jed kicks things off with the debut of a brand new song called "Always Alone," a kind of indie-rock angst tune. He mellows out with a nice hit of "Brother Love" next. "Mr. Beaman" follows, a prog-rock epic about a man in a stovepipe hat and topcoat, which features multple segments and an uncharacteristic extended jam, the first rocking improv of the night. It winds it's way into another debut, the gentle and thoughful "Birds Don't Know." The first cover tune is up next as Jed introduces the Euro crowd to some Phish with an extended, jammy version of "Free." He slows things down again with the solo-duet love song "Secret Language." Jed takes us to Penobscot Bay Maine for the set closer, the bouncy and fun "Geneva Sue."
Second set gets serious fast with the emotional Gary Tyler penned tune "Stronger Instead" which Jed extends into a nice long jam before landing in "The Constable" a song from his Luna Suite. The bouncy "Go Away" is up next, which also features a nice improv jam before a transition into the song Jed most hates to play, the social commentary "My Kid." A more fun "Queen Lucille" follows but then things go deep again with the spiritual "Begging For Mercy." Some more Phish for good measure closes out the set, the always rocking "Character Zero." A Grateful Dead encore caps things off, the always fun to sing along to "Sugar Magnolia."
This is a really fun show at a venue you can tell Jed enjoys playing. The show includes the debut of two new songs, several deep cuts that don't get played often, and a few rocking improv jams. Enjoy!
