Jimmy Herring - guitar Alphonso Johnson (Alphonso Antonio Johnson) - bass Rod Morgenstein - drums, percussion T Lavitz (Terry "T" Lavitz) - keys Bill Graves Notes: --There are some channel issues for the first seven minutes or so of this set. --This show is a Boiler in the Basement Installment --http://boilerinthebasementmusic.wordpress.com/ vg NOTES (2024-12-21): --Super BIG Thank you to Steve Washick for recording & sharing this Jazz Is Dead 1999 show & to Bill Graves for the transfer of it & sharing it out far & wide for all of us to enjoy. Absolutely Appreciated & sounds wonderful!! --the 'channel issues' mentioned above in Bill Graves' Notes is the taper (Washick) adjusting his levels to get them balanced & at the level he wanted, etc...by about 2:20 into t02 he seems to settle on his levels --this event started at noon & was a production of Bad Production & Rock 92.3...it was a 'Benefit For the Make-A-Wish Foundation' --full list of the other acts on this day (from start to finish): Moonshine Still; Isaac Curry (listed on the poster this way, but was this really 'Isaac Carree'??); Blueground Undergrass; Col.Bruce Hampton & Friends; the Derek Trucks Band; Jazz Is Dead --if anyone has any further info &/or any corrections to the info about this day, please won't you chime in & let us all know?? --Fun Fact: Phish had played the Lakewood Amphitheatre (now [in 2024] the "Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood") the day before on 1999-07-04...that's about 75 minutes from this event & why Mike Gordon was local enough to jump down & sit in with the Derek Trucks Band on this day. --I added the band members info --corrected some song titles toward how they appear on the original albums --added more detail to the setlist info & venue info --created an md5 checksum file --added the md5 checksums to the text file --added a pic of the poster for the event that I found online & some pics of the park
